We Need Your Help
The new "Live Fire Burn Simulator Project" is a huge undertaking for our Volunteer fire service. The need is GREAT! as training standards for firefighters mandate live fire skills training before receiving interior firefighter certifications. St Lawrence County has no facility for conducting this mandated training, and is now forced to travel outside the county in order to meet this "Live Fire" training requirements. We need your help! Our goal is to raise $450,000 for a new training facility. Raising this amount requires everyone to step up and support the volunteer firefighters who dedicate so much of their time to protect your "life safety". Please consider a small or larger donation and help us reach our goal.
The Colton fire district stepped up with a $1,000 donation. See photos of other contributors here.
The "Deputy Chief"
The new simulator the "Deputy Chief" built by Fire Facilities Inc. will meet our need for many years to come. It is a state of the art live burn simulator that is 3 stories and contains 2 burn rooms - one on the first floor and one on the second floor. It has many different configurations of fire attack on each floor. It has a totally new burn room material protection system warranted for 15 years.
